COVID-19 is affecting industries and sectors across the globe. Governments now require contact tracing as they placing restrictions on social gatherings and meeting in public places.
Plans are being put in place for customers to be asked to register in advance on check-in as they arrive at bars, malls, restaurants, and retail outlets to aid the reopening of the economy. We developed a guest registration system for contact tracing to help with the containment of the coronavirus.
How Does it Help with Contact Tracing?
Our system allows for users to register themselves quickly and safely, as they enter an establishment using the following steps
- User registers onto the Wi-Fi Network
- An SMS is sent to their phone
- SMS voucher is shown to a member of staff as prove of client registration and allowed entry
The registration includes the date and time of a guest’s entry, their full name, address, phone, and email address. Once the guest has registered a unique code is sent via SMS with a timestamp and validation period to show to staff.
What about GDPR?
To comply with data protection rules all data is automatically deleted after 21 days.
