Overview
Snappi entered the Greek banking market with an ambitious mandate: launch as a digital-first neobank while meeting the security, resilience, and regulatory expectations placed on established financial institutions.
As the first neobank in Greece licensed by the European Central Bank, Snappi needed a cybersecurity operating model that could provide continuous protection, executive visibility, and evidence of preparedness from the earliest stages of operation. Veracloud worked with BlueVoyant to design and operate a complete security framework around Snappi's needs, combining 24/7 monitoring, managed detection and response, dark web monitoring, and incident response readiness.
The Challenge
Snappi was building a modern banking operation in a highly regulated environment. The business had to move quickly, but its security programme needed to satisfy the same level of scrutiny expected across the European banking sector.
With DORA raising the bar for operational resilience, Snappi required more than point solutions. The bank needed continuous threat visibility, clear reporting for leadership and auditors, tested incident response procedures, and a security partner model capable of scaling with its European growth plans.
The Solution
Veracloud and BlueVoyant implemented a comprehensive cybersecurity framework to support Snappi's digital operations and regulatory readiness. The partnership brought together local delivery, Microsoft security expertise, and BlueVoyant's managed cyber defence capabilities.
The programme included 24/7 Security Operations Center coverage, Managed Detection and Response, real-time threat monitoring, Dark Web Watcher services, incident response planning, tabletop exercises, and monthly SOC reporting with KPIs for leadership visibility.
Results
The programme gave Snappi a mature cyber defence posture within months of receiving its ECB licence. Rather than building a large internal security function from scratch or coordinating multiple vendors independently, Snappi gained a managed operating model designed for regulated financial services.
The work also strengthened Snappi's DORA readiness by improving operational resilience, response preparedness, cyber visibility, and governance reporting. This gave leadership a clearer view of cyber risk and helped establish trust in the bank's digital operations from the outset.
The collaboration was also recognised at the Cybersecurity Awards 2026, where the project received a Gold Award in SoC Automation and a Silver Award in SIEM Integration.
